The Virginia Schools to Watch Committee is proud to highlight schools that have been named as Virginia Schools to Watch.

By 2008 eleven schools have been named as Virginia Schools to Watch. Blue Ridge Middle School of Loudoun County and Short Pump Middle School of Henrico County are the newest schools named as STW. Additionally, the original four schools ( Lynnhaven, Saunders, Franklin and Rachel Carson Middle Schools) were redesignated this year by a reapplication process and visiting team as required by the Schools to Watch process every three years. We are proud of these schools as they continue to demonstrate outstanding efforts in middle school programming!
